The Accutron watch was produced, by Bulova, from 1960 through 1978. At the time, the watch was the pinnacle of Bulova's engineering acting as a step between the mechanical watches and the quartz revolution. These watches operated with a tuning fork mechanism, which is a small metallic piece made of two parallel arms soldered in a U-shape and extended by a stem. The result? A watch that hums - literally. The apex of the Accutron line was the 'Spaceview' watch which did not feature a dial, thus revealing the details of the tuning fork movement.
Bulova is an American watch brand, founded in 1875, by Joseph Bulova. The company manufactures watches and clocks and is located in New York City. Bulova is responsible for many firsts, and achievements, including, in 1941, the world's first television advertisement. In 2008, Citizen purchased The Bulova Watch Company, which is now the largest watch manufacturer in the world.

I had a 1964 Bulova Spaceview given to me by my godfather and that had not hummed for 20 years. I was told that you could convert this to a battery run quartz watch and now glad I didn’t do that. I tried contacting several companies that I saw online and the only one to answer my call was Times Ticking. Their representative was very knowledgeble about my watch and explained the procedure of sending the watch in and getting an estimate for repair. The watch looks fantastic and my godfather would be proud. On a scale of 1 to 10 I’d give this company a 10! I’m getting ready to ship them my gold graduation watch for repair.
