Raymond Weil, founded in Geneva in 1976 during the Quartz Crisis, emerged with a vision to redefine Swiss watchmaking by offering elegant, Swiss-made timepieces at accessible price points. Drawing on 27 years of experience as general manager of Camy Watch Company, Weil brought traditional craftsmanship and timeless design to his brand, which has remained deeply inspired by music. This artistic influence was first showcased in 1983 with the Amadeus collection, named after Mozart and launched alongside Milos Forman’s acclaimed film of the same name. Music-themed collections like Fidelio, Traviata, and Saxo became a hallmark of the brand’s identity.
Today, Raymond Weil remains one of the last independent, family-owned Swiss watchmakers, now led by the third generation of the Weil-Bernheim family, continuing its founder’s legacy of innovation, artistry, and accuracy.
